Indian head massage is a therapeutic massage technique that focuses on the head, neck, and shoulders. It originated in India over a thousand years ago as part of Ayurvedic medicine, a holistic approach to healing and well-being. This type of massage is designed to promote relaxation, relieve stress, and improve overall health.

How to prepare

You will be asked to sit in a chair for your Indian head massage. It's recommended to bare your shoulders down to your upper back and you will be provided a wrap for your comfort. You are also welcome to remain fully clothed too.

Hannah will use a combination of techniques, including gentle strokes, kneading, tapping, and acupressure, to massage the scalp, neck, shoulders, and upper back.

A small amount of oil may be applied to your back, neck and shoulders to enhance the massage experience. If you prefer not to use oil, please let Hannah know.
